Top 10 Lesson Golf teaches us about business success.

Just for the fun of it – here is my take (and my game)!

1)      You need to set a realistic goal  —> I wanted to consistently be between 94-96 (on 18 and no mulligans – they are not a thing 😊)

2)      Adjust your goal as you learn and improve  —> my goal used to be “just break 100”

3)      Be honest with how you are doing  —> sometimes it hurts to lose a ball and take a stroke, but how do you know if you are improving if you don’t accurately assess?

4)      Small improvements matter to hitting you long term goal  —> you don’t improve overnight.

5)      Keep the focus  —> If you get distracted you will likely not hit the ball well.

6)      Be intentional and thoughtful  —>  Where are you aiming, how big is your swing, are their obstacles to avoid?

7)       Work through your frustrations, don’t stew on the past, think of the next shot with a clear mind --> You will make mistakes, learn and move on!

8)      Sometimes it is awful —> don’t give up – dust off and come back to try again.

9)      Learn from others —> What are things they are doing to adjust and succeed.

10)  Have fun —> When you are relaxed and “present” you usually do your best.
