It’s hard enough to find a job …..& now it’s an EMPLOYER’S market -- making it tougher!

DON’T be discouraged – DO prepare to stand out!

 So what…. if hiring managers have the power balance. 

Your job, AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN, is to STAND OUT from your competition. 

That has not changed.

Know how to articulate:

What makes you uniquely qualified for the position.

No 2 candidates are the same.  Everyone is unique.

But, do you know how to effectively talk to your unique set of skills?

The skills the hiring company needs to accomplish their goals.

….And, it is not just about your skills it’s also about your potential FIT with the team -- how they can see working with you.

Think about it – if you make it to the interview, you are already amongst candidates that on paper (resume) have what the company is looking for (skills & capabilities) in a candidate.

So don’t forget the “fit” part of your interview.

Success = CAPABILITIES & FIT

To help with the “FIT” consider that most everyone likes a good engaging conversation with someone they are interested in.  So…

Success = CONVERSATIONAL & CONCISE

But, it’s also about your needs.

Be ready to ask them questions that legitimately helps you determine if the job & company are a fit for you.

Yes, I know you want a job …….but do you want to be in a job for a year or more that is not a fit?

Success = SMART QUESTIONS

Sept, Oct, Nov are great hiring months & then onto Q1 where there are new budgets & projects available.

So… get yourself ready to stand out from the other candidatesYou are unique – tell your story.
